Meet a squad of loony detectives who handle everything from burglary to bunco. Commander Rainwater plans to run for mayor so he leans on Lieutenant Mootfowl to clean up crime in City Park where "only a moving bullet is safe." If Mootfowl doesn't succeed he'll have to turn in his badge. You'll meet assorted police personnel, street people, con artists, a psychiatrist, crime victims, crooks, lawyers and a woman with a guilt complex who'll confess to any crime. Don't forget the Mad Bomber who plants a bomb in a file cabinet or the hat check girl from the Pink Poodle Disco who has matrimony on her mind. Before the final curtain things sort themselves out in hilarious style. (Also available as a musical.)
